Hi. I’m Leslie, a/k/a LJ. Welcome to my blog. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while (as you can see–2011 ha!). I want to share my adventures that almost always involve fitness, food and fun–which comes in all shapes and sizes.
A lot of my life revolves around fitness so I hope to share my journey and I hope you’ll follow along. The journey started for me a loooooooooong time ago. I first stepped into a gym many years ago and was instantly addicted. I started to read and learn about nutrition. These things are still part of my every day life but at the same time, things have changed so much. My journey has changed. I believe a journey can be a personal quest for self-betterment physically AND emotionally…not only looking better but perhaps with a little more wisdom and insight into myself and the world around me. The gym is still my second home. I love creating healthy recipes in the kitchen. I also love to travel and being a “foodie”, food is always involved in my travels.
Balance is key!
I hope to be a mentor and role model if you will…at my age (cough) I have a LOT of personal experience, a little bit of knowledge, and I want to reach others to help them become healthier and feel comfortable in their own skin Living a life of consistency is by no means easy, no matter what the context, but taking care of your body and feeling good– actually, GREAT, is an added bonus and can be enjoyed by anyone, at any time, at any age. We all have our ups and downs. Most importantly, stay positive and…you got it–consistent. Have goals and dreams. Who cares if others don’t agree? I’ll keep mine alive as long as I am able. My next step in the right direction does not have to be a big one, but consistently striving to be better, and bring you with me, is just the beginning.
We are always changing and adapting as a person. Always growing and learning new things. Your roles change, your job changes, the people in your life change. We are multi-dimensional as people and individuals. A definition should encompass our whole being, not just what others see. I’ve been involved in bodybuilding a few years now and training and helping others with their nutrition is a passion of mine. Don’t hesitate to reach out!
Best wishes and stay consistent,
LJ
